![]() "Alexa, open Serviio", still isn't working after a couple rare times here and there. anything fast I can edit for you to insert? What languages do I need to know? I gotta start learning to program this stuff. I'd love to be able to ask, "Alexa, ask Serviio to show me a list on Living Room tv", and "Alexa, ask serviio to show list, Living Room." Then, "play 3", etc. You should sell a beta copy to quantify your efforts. I'm going to have to look into RESTful Web Services and see if there is anyway I can help out. BUT.after a few tries, she don't ackknowledge the serviio "Alexa, open serviio" trigger anymore.Īlso, is there anyway to add Serviio as a music service in the Alexa app like pandora, tunein, and amazon music? Then we can control it without speaking. I even tried using your voice several times, and nothing.I actually relinked it, and "Alexa, open serviio" is working. You can use this too to send messages like the door it’s open, Time to sleep or any sentence you want, alexa can repeat if you send the command Alexa, Simon says, your sentence, you must to just add a s Alexa, Simon says. Zip wrote:Do you pronounce Serviio correctly? "What's new" just plays the latest news.and she can't tell me what a green dlna device is playing. It's just because the AI learns off speech patterns so each and every single new 'ha' just become lower and lower till it sounds like a demon because the audio is fucking up. From what I read somewhere, you cannot control the echo devices? I don't see them on the device list in the serviio console status tab.Īlexa doesn't seem to trigger on "Alexa, ask serviio" or "Alexa, open serviio". Now I'm trying to get Alexa to respond to the "ask serviio" trigger and to scan and rename the dlna devices. ![]() I changed the secure port back to 23524 and got check marks on both. I guess it was either my router or how you're scanning ports. I will remove all extra port forwarding now that might be causing confusion during you scans. I tried what you said above, and I'm only getting one check for secure 23424, not http 23425. I actually had extra ports open in the same range existing from an older server running a separate serviio server that I am not even using anymore.I think that might have been causing some confusion. You should then get both checks in the console green. You should have http 23424 (external port) and https 23524 (External secure port) - change the ports to these values in your Serviio console and Save. While Alexa does do reminders quite well, its reminders are time-based only.Zip wrote:I can still see your server identifying itself as http 23425 and https 23424. Then open up the Amazon Alexa app on your smartphone. You can create a reminder per usual, but when you add a location tag to the request such as, "when I get home" or "while I'm at the grocery store," Google Assistant will ping your phone with the reminder notification when you reach that specific location. While Google might have been slow to add reminders to Google Home, it recently added a feature that leapfrogged Alexa's own reminders: location-based reminder notifications. It can place calls to most landlines and mobile numbers, but it can't call 911, 1-800 or 1-900 numbers. Most of the story is true, except Alexa can't call 911 or other emergency services. ![]() The speaker was allegedly used to call 911, which alerted the local authorities and, eventually, the situation deescalated after a six-hour standoff. You may have heard reports that Alexa saved the lives of a woman and her child who were being held hostage. To that effect, you can see everything you've said (and play the recordings back) in the Alexa app on Android or iOS and at . Option 1: How to Make Alexa Say What You Say with Simon Says Option 2: How to Make Alexa Say What You Type. While Alexa speakers can now store your short notes, it can't record voice memos, which is odd, considering it records everything you say.
